Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with architects, contractors and sub-contractors.
  • Write engineering proposals and negotiate engineering contracts.
  • Organize and manage structural design efforts for multiple projects
  • Design and layout structural engineering drawings for assigned projects/work assignments including the preparation of plans, schedules and details
  • Perform structural analysis and design for cold formed steel framing including curtain wall framing systems, load-bearing structures, floor and roof framing systems, trusses, blast-resistant framing systems, lateral bracing and stability analysis.
  • Prepare Structural calculations and design drawings for submittal
  • Work closely with the firm’s leadership on operational and strategic initiatives.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from a U.S. accredited college or university and (3) or more years of experience in the structural design of cold-formed steel building projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of structural engineering principles
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products; and working knowledge of AutoDesk Revit and AutoCAD programs
  • Working knowledge of various structural analysis and design programs 
  • Attentive to detail and accuracy
  • Effectively prepares written correspondence in a professional manner and communicates with team members
  • Applicable U.S. based job experience.
